Clockwise from above; Petrified Wood slab, Tourmaline crystal between two Quartz points, Rhodochrosite cluster, and an Amethyst cluster. Issued in 1974, the original set of four 10 cent stamps commemorated the importance of the vast mineral wealth of the US, as natural resources and as the natural wonders nature produces.
